Warzone’s Operation Monarch Widely Divides Players

Warzone’s Operation Monarch brought Godzilla vs. King Kong to the game, but the event is not unanimous. Indeed some of the biggest streamers like Dr Disrespect and NICKMERCS make a brutal criticism of it.

The latest operation kicked off on May 11, and it didn’t take long for clips of the two behemoths to go viral on social media. The update added a new LTM to the game, and at various points in Warzone matches, players can be attacked by the Raging Giants, Godzilla, and King Kong.

However, opinion is very divided around the event.

Dr Disrespect reviews Warzone Operation Monarch

Hours after the update launched in-game, streamer Dr Disrespect gave the event a solid 2.2/10.

“I am what… 9 years old?” he tweeted.

NICKMERCS Criticizes Godzilla vs. Kong Event

These frustrations were relayed by FaZe streamer NICKMERCS, who called the update a“horrible” first day.

The MFAM leader said: “This Warzone event is horrible. Maybe we’re spoiled by those in Fortnite, but damn it, man. King Kong and Godzilla don’t even fight.

This tweet, of course, refers to one of the biggest events in Fortnite history, where a giant robot was attacked by a monster in July 2019.

This happened during Chapter 1 of the game, with the original map, and despite the passing of three years, it seems that NICKMERCS still thinks the original Epic Games events are the best.
