A 26-year-old motorcyclist left the road on Sunday morning and drove straight into the field. He crashed into several young trees and was seriously injured. According to his own statements, he was not careful enough, which is why the accident occurred in St. Ruprecht an der Raab.
At around 9.45 a.m., 26-year-old Weizer was driving his motorcycle on the L362 towards St. Ruprecht an der Raab when he slipped onto the right shoulder of the road on a straight. Probably due to carelessness, as the driver himself admits. He lost control of the motorcycle and drove straight into the field next to the road. It was impossible for him to brake and he tore down the fence of an orchard. When he crashed into several young trees, he fell and was seriously injured. A friend who arrived provided first aid and immediately called emergency services. The Hohenkogl volunteer fire department also came to the scene of the accident. The seriously injured 26-year-old was taken to the LKH Weiz by the Red Cross.
