Washington proposes to the G7 to explore ways to confiscate $300 billion in Russian assets







Dec 28 (Reuters) – The United States has proposed that working groups formed by G7 countries study ways to seize $300 billion (270 billion euros) in frozen Russian assets, the Financial reported on Thursday Times.

The United States, supported by the United Kingdom, Japan and Canada, offered to advance the preparatory work so that the options are ready for consideration by the leaders of the G7 countries at a possible meeting which could be held around February 24, according to the newspaper.
