The US company Hallmark has existed since 1910, but is actually known for producing greeting cards. The Hallmark name now also stands for the countless Christmas films that are shown every year on the Hallmark Channel, which was launched in 2001.

Hallmark productions are the cinematic equivalent of a greeting card, easy to digest and sweet. This is particularly well received at Christmas time, and not just in the USA. But the Hallmark Channel doesn’t exist in Germany and so only a few Hallmark productions make it to us.

But that’s not a bad thing, because it is still possible to access the full Hallmark program from Germany. Our instructions show you how to do this!

This is how you watch the Hallmark Channel in Germany

The Hallmark Channel itself has its own website where you can watch films and series, but for this you need the login details of a TV provider from the USA – an impossibility for viewers from Germany.

The US streaming service Peacock represents a detour. With a subscription you not only have access to countless films and series from the film studio Universal, you can also watch the Hallmark Channel live. You can find out how to subscribe to Peacock from Germany in our instructions.

The new Hallmark Christmas films always run on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time – which corresponds to a broadcast at 1 a.m. in Germany. If you don’t want to stay awake that long, you can watch the films on Peacock for three days after they air.

Hallmark Movies Now: Hallmark’s streaming service

The Hallmark Channel also has its own streaming service, Hallmark Movies Now, which can also be used in this country with a little trick. Signing up is quite easy; you can use Hallmark Movies Now for free for 7 days, after which the service costs you $5.99 per month. In our test, a German credit card was accepted without any problems.

But if you want to stream films and series, you need a VPN service like CyberGhost. The country ban on Hallmark Movies Now can be bypassed because a VPN server from the USA makes it appear to the streaming service as if you were in the USA.
