watch out for these white cheeses recalled throughout France

Watch out for these baby foods that are the subject of a product recall. White cheeses sold throughout France not to be consumed.

Listeria, insects, foreign bodies… We can never be too careful when it comes to what we put on our plate. The story of contaminated frozen pizzas has proven this to us. A Saint-Nectaire cheese was recalled across France in early June, as was a cordon-bleu with possible foreign bodies.

In July, there was already a product recall of herbal teas in which insects were detected. This Wednesday, we also learn that of baby food, more specifically Bledina brand cottage cheese. It is “Douceurs au Fromage blanc nature au cane sugar”. The batch concerned is n°299867 and the GTIN is 3041091427670. Its date of minimum durability, on which a foodstuff retains its appearance, taste or smell , is February 13, 2024.

Baby food sold in supermarkets recalled

The recalled product was marketed from April 20 to July 7, 2023 in Carrefour, Casino, Cora, Leclerc, Intermarché, Match and Système U stores. Its packaging is in batches of 4 plastic cups of 100G. The recall is linked to a precautionary measure for “defects in appearance, taste and smell which make them unfit for consumption”, specifies the site Drink reminder. The risks incurred by the consumer are therefore lower, with regard to manufacturing defects, sealing defects such as micro leaks or defective heat sealing, or even packaging anomalies.

The investigation determined that this is due to a one-time under-dosing of two ingredients, preventing “the good preservation of the product over time”. On the procedural side, it is therefore necessary to no longer consume these Sweets with White Cheeseand return the product to the point of sale or contact consumer service on 08 00 00 37 98. However, caution should be exercised: the products would be “likely to present a danger to the health of consumers”. You will be compensated by being reimbursed or by making an exchange.
The end date of the recall procedure is set for Tuesday, February 13, 2024.
