Waterproof JBL alternative from Lidl: Small boombox with staying power

• As a cheap JBL alternative, Lidl offers its own Bluetooth speaker, the Silvercrest Rhythm Go.
• The compact box is waterproof and can be connected to other speakers from the retailer.
• With 2x 10 watts the performance is okay, but above all the price is right.

By spring at the latest, many people are drawn back outside to the grill, onto the terrace or to the pool. In keeping with this, Lidl is currently offering some interesting offers for outdoor fans, including a robust Bluetooth speaker from its own brand, Silvercrest. For just under 40 euros, a good alternative to the much more expensive JBL boxes.

The speaker is waterproof to IPX7 (protection against short-term immersion) and offers a playback time of up to twelve hours. You stream music to the speaker via Bluetooth 5.2, alternatively you can also connect a player using an AUX cable.

The box offers a true wireless stereo function. These can be used to link two speakers together and use them in stereo mode. There is also a PartyPlay feature that allows you to connect up to ten speakers.

The music output is 2 x 10 watts RMS (average output), the Bluetooth range is ten meters. Overall, with the speaker from Lidl you get a robust, compact box that is completely sufficient for additional sound. Above all, the robustness and decent battery life are really good for the price.

The Silvercrest Bluetooth box is available exclusively from Lidl. A price comparison with other retailers is therefore not possible. However, the price-performance ratio is very good.
