Waterproof mascara – so it goes off immediately

Waterproof mascara is friend and foe at the same time. On the one hand it keeps the momentum all day and survives a sports session, on the other hand it feels like 56287359803427 years before we can get it off our eyelashes. Good news: That will (hopefully) change now – with an ultimate professional trick.

Eyelash cocktail

Make-up artist Nick Barose puts make-up on stars like Priyanka Chopra and Lupita Nyong '. In an interview with INSTYLE.com, he revealed his super simple and at the same time ingenious trick how we can get waterproof mascara back quickly – without burning eyes and falling eyelashes:

Start with a layer of normal mascara as a base coat, then apply a second layer with a waterproof formulation. This helps seal the lashes with a waterproof layer, but it's much easier to remove make-up.

We know: There are some people out there who are sure to do it that way, but not everyone knows this trick. It's absolutely LIFE-CHANGING! We would recommend that you use a lengthening mascara as a base, such as the Honest Beauty Extreme Length Mascara or the L'Oréal Paris False Lashes Extensions Mascara. Then you go over with a waterproof mascara, which is supposed to provide volume. Here you can, for example, the Monsieur Big Waterproof Mascara from Lancôme or the Lash Princess False Lash Effect Waterproof from essence. So you have the best of both worlds.

One thing is certain: we will definitely try the trick right away. Of course, you have to find out for yourself which mascara cocktail works best for your eyelashes. Not every product works equally well for everyone. If you are still looking for inspiration, we have just the thing for you: The best mascaras ever.
