The storm front from Bavaria announced by meteorologists has now also reached Upper Austria. Heavy rain, hail, lightning and thunder including strong gusts of wind are its side effects. In the Innviertel and Salzkammergut there are already some fire brigades after local floods.
On the Attersee in the Salzkammergut, the storm front is noticeable with high waves, as can be seen on the two videos (above and below).
In the afternoon, the Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics (ZAMG) expected storms all over Upper Austria and gusts of wind of up to 100 kilometers per hour.
