Concretely, the application is based on the number of accidents that have been reported on a section of road or a perimeter but also on Artificial Intelligence. “Key information about your route, such as typical traffic levels, whether it’s a motorway or local road, altitude, etc.” are also taken into account, specifies Waze.
With all this data, if you find yourself on an accident-prone road, you will be informed with an alert before arriving on that portion. “To minimize distractions, we limit the number of alerts seen by drivers and do not broadcast them on the roads they regularly use“, adds Waze.
How do I activate this feature?
This new feature will gradually arrive on phones. She “is available to users worldwide via the Waze app on iOS and Android“, indicates Waze.
