In Touche pas à mon poste this Monday, Gilles Verdez played a nice trick on the rest of the columnists, with the complicity of his companion, Fatou. The journalist initially made believe that his couple was struggling before announcing his imminent marriage.
Gilles Verdez has had a beautiful love story with Fatou for several years. This Monday, on the Touche set not at my post, the columnist and his companion shared good news with the public: they will say “Yes” to each other. The Gilles Verdez couple found themselves at the heart of the conversations when the columnist revealed that Fatou, his partner, was in Dakar, with his family, for Valentine’s Day. A departure which immediately raised some questions among the columnists of TPMP, convinced that the companion of Gilles Verdez was unfaithful to him. Finally, the latter ended up calling her companion live, to explain herself. The opportunity for the two lovebirds to make an announcement. “We are going to make a revelation to Cyril. We’ll tell him what you told me yesterday“, launches Gilles Verdez to Fatou. “I am preparing for the wedding”, then launch the latter. “Is it good with Gilles?“, jokes Cyril Hanouna. “That’s it, we’re going to get married to Gilles in Dakar (…) I’m counting on you, you’re all invited“. An announcement that delighted the Touche set not at my post, and in particular Cyril Hanouna who declared: “It’s a very big day for us, we couldn’t have dreamed of a better Valentine’s Day!”
Gilles Verdez and Fatou: is this time the right one?
As a reminder, the couple had already announced their marriage in February 2017, when Gilles Verdez asked for Fatou’s hand on the set of C8. “Fatou, my darling, I love you as we love the one we searched for forever and finally found. had declared the columnist to his companion before adding, taking a ring out of his pocket : “I love you because I want to live a thousand lives with you. I love you because I want to know all the real and imaginary worlds with you. I love you with an unalterable love, Fatou I love you. love madly.” “Yes I want“, replied the latter, timidly. Let’s hope this time is the right one!
