2024 - We are live: why Léa Salamé disappeared from the show

Léa Salamé was not present this Saturday, February 20, on the program We are live, broadcast on France 2. Indeed, Laurent Ruquier was the only one at the controls of the program. Here are the reasons for this absence.

The show’s loyal viewers We are live, broadcast on France 2, were surprised this Saturday, February 19. And for good reason: if as usual, Laurent Ruquier shares the animation of the program with Léa Salamé, the latter was absent from the set. Indeed, it is only that the journalist presented a new episode of the program, in which, Eric Dupond-Moretti was notably the guest. But why did Léa Salamé answer absent? On February 17, Puremedia revealed that the latter had contracted Covid-19.

Léa Salamé had not participated in the show Elysée 2022: against France Télévisionsin which Yannick Jadot was invited. Affected by the virus, the journalist was forced to “to isolate themselves and is forced to leave their place”, explained our colleagues. She was then replaced by Nathalie Saint-Cricq. The same day, Léa Salamé was also absent of the morning of France Inter. Still isolated, the journalist could not therefore be present alongside Laurent Ruquier, who therefore hosted this new episode ofWe are liveall alone.

Since September 2020, the former host ofWe are not in bed presents this new program. At this time, he was already all alone at the presentation. But in June 2021, a press release announced the arrival of Léa Salamé, alongside the host: “The news will be particularly dense in 2022 with the presidential campaign. We want to strengthen this program, make it more nervous, play the live card more and weigh”. The journalist therefore has busy weeks; she who already animates the morning of France Inter but also the show Elysee 2022. Hoping to see her again next Saturday, in a new episode ofWe are live.
