This Wednesday, June 28, many riots broke out all over France and in particular in Ile-de-France. Major damage is to be deplored. The members of insubordinate France did not fail to react to the events. They are calling for a new debate on the use of firearms by law enforcement.

Tensions erupted again, this Wednesday, June 28, in the evening, in Nanterre, in the Hauts-de-Seine. Protesters and police clashed for the second night in a row, the day after the death of a 17-year-old motorist, Nahel, killed by a police officer after refusing to comply. Politicians reacted quickly. “The watchdogs order us to call for calm. We call for justice,” said Jean-Luc Mélenchon. The former presidential candidate calls for the suspension of the police officer responsible for the shooting and his colleague present on the video.

“A theater of posture”

For his part, the rebellious Paul Vannier remains on the same positions. “I will not participate in a theater of posture which consists in being satisfied with a call and hoping in a few days that we could move on and that nothing in the interval can change”, declared the deputy of the fifth constituency of Val-d’Oise.

La France insoumise is also calling for a new debate on the use of firearms by the police, in particular when they refuse to comply. Finally, the movement of Jean-Luc Mélenchon demands “that the police get rid of racism and arbitrariness” before being able to call for calm.
