“We discovered the success of the series in France”: the stars of Un Dos Tres are back for the sequel on W9!

Lola, Roberto and Silvia are back in the sequel to Un Dos Tres! Meeting with the interpreters of the famous characters of the cult Spanish series.

Be careful, getting old! The sequel to one of the most popular series of the 2000s is arriving on W9 and it allows the reunion of part of the cast. Remember, 20 years ago, Lola, Pedro, Roberto, Silvia and Ingrid, who became students at Carmen Arranz’s performing arts school.

It was the pitch for Un Dos Tres (Un Paso Adelante, for those who had done LV2 Spanish), a sort of Fame Iberian in six seasons which told the adventures of young people dreaming of being singers, dancers, actors and musicians.

Today, three of the main actors from that series – Mónica Cruz (Silvia), Beatriz Luengo (Lola) and Miguel Ángel Muñoz (Roberto) – return in a prequel series, titled Un Dos Tres: new generation. The trio passes the torch to new apprentice artists at the old school of Carmen Arranz that Silvia now directs.

The stars of Un Dos Tres are back 20 years later!

This new fiction in the universe of Un Dos Tres was presented exclusively in France during the sixth edition of the CANNESIÈRES festival. The main actors of the series were welcomed like stars by the French public, very nostalgic for the Spanish work which marked an entire generation.

We were able to meet them on this occasion and the three actors shared with us their best memories of the Un Dos Tres era and the more than warm reception of the series in France, as explained by Miguel Ángel Muñoz, the interpreter from Roberto:

“The first time I became aware of the success of the series was when we came to France to promote it. I remember a trip we took to Paris. We took photos on the Champs-Élysées and at the Louvre. And everyone stopped us, they asked us for a lot of photos.”

Beatriz Luengo, who played Lola, told us that one of the best moments of her life was in France, during a famous concert on the Champs-Élysées:

“I had the opportunity to sing there once and there were thousands of people. I posted it on the networks because it was the most important moment of my life, really. I went up on stage and people were screaming, I couldn’t believe it, I almost couldn’t sing. There was no social media, so we discovered success in the streets and we felt such an impact, it was very exciting.”

Now that there are social networks, Mónica Cruz, the interpreter of Silvia, noticed that she received a lot of messages from fans coming from France: “French fans have written to me over the years and I think 85% of my comments on Instagram come from French fans. And it’s a country that has always welcomed us very well and to which we owe a lot.”

French fans can therefore rejoice in the return of the stars to our screens since they can see them again in Un Dos Tres: New generation on W9 on Thursdays November 16 and 23, then on the 6play platform. The most nostalgic can find the original series Un Dos Tres for free on 6play.
