“We got tapped on the fingers”: this scene from Plus belle la vie that never saw the light of day

Wednesday June 22, 2022, Dounia Coesens gave an interview to Télé Pro. The ex-interpreter of Johanna Marci spoke about the filming of Plus belle la vie and lifted the veil on a scene that never saw the light of day.

That was 18 years ago already! At the age of 15, Dounia Coessens passed a casting to integrate More beautiful life. As the series comes to an end, the ex-interpreter of Johanna Marci has agreed to reveal her best memories of these years spent in Marseille. Assuring not to have a worse memory, the actress confided to Tele Pro : “I don’t have any… It was so good. Frankly, I do not see!“After thinking about it, she finally blurted out:”If perhaps, the day… It’s a worse memory, but it’s also a good memory somewhere, it’s that we were never able to shoot a sequence! We got slapped on the knuckles seriously because we were laughing too much. We really got slapped on the wrist, which is normal, it wasn’t very professional, but we were laughing too much, we were dying of laughter. We couldn’t talk anymore and they said: ‘Okay, what are we going to stop!’

Amused, Dounia Coesens said: “It was a bit improbable as a sequence. We had to call a kind of spirit who was there, who was called Nadine. We held hands and said, ‘Nadine, are you there?’ It was unlikely but we had to do it seriously, the thing answered us. We didn’t really have the voice of the spirit, it was a guy on the set who was doing the voice for us. Everything was done to have fun, we couldn’t do it! The sequence was never shot! With a smile on her face, the actress added: “They had to change the script, they said, ‘We’re not going to keep this!’ We don’t have time, we do 16 sequences in the day, if you see that it takes time you have to find a solution (…) The situation was improbable and they didn’t keep it!

Dounia Coesens’ filming memories

Referring to her best memory, the pretty brunette said: “I remember the decor of the apartment we were playing in and we had a wooden wall right next to the door. We wrote down the ratings that were rising every day. This column stayed for more than ten years, it was my Proust madeleine to see that on each shoot. As a good memory, I also have the video of my departure, it was one of the most beautiful gifts of my life.” Asked about her casting, it is with nostalgia that Dounia Coesens revealed: “I was all intimidated, I didn’t even know what it was like to play. It was very strangebut fortunately my father was there to reassure me.
