We know almost everything about the technical sheet of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

Now that Apple and Google have unveiled their star smartphones for 2022-2023, the only thing missing are Samsung models. The Korean manufacturer should unveil its new Galaxy S23 in a few weeks. In the meantime, new information has emerged regarding the technical data sheet of the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

5 photo modules in all

As noted by the MyFixGuide site, Tenaa (a Chinese mobile certification body) has indeed published a large part of the mobile’s technical data sheet. Samsung’s ultra-high-end phone will unsurprisingly have an ultra-high-end spec sheet. Question dimensions, the S23 Ultra will look a priori like two drops of water to the S22 Ultra, with just a few millimeters of difference here and there.

Like its predecessor, it will also have a 6.8-inch screen with a definition of 1440 x 3088 px and a 5000 mAh battery. On the memory side, the phone will a priori be available with 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 256, 512 or 1000 GB of storage. Finally, on the photo side, it will be necessary to count on 5 modules in all. A main 200 Mpx (which will release shots in 12 Mpx), two zooms (3x and 10x) of 12 Mpx, an ultra wide-angle of 12 Mpx and a front sensor of 12 Mpx always.

Snapdragon 8 and satellite calls

Even more interesting than what is marked on the Tenaa product sheet, which is not marked: no mobile chip model is specified, even if we know that the S23 Ultra should probably ship the Snapdragon chip 8 Gen 2 anywhere in the world. But on closer inspection, it looks like Qualcomm’s chip has been slightly overclocked by Samsung as all three processor families boast clock speeds of 3.36 GHz, 2.8 GHz, and 2 GHz.

The S23 Ultra’s satellite communication capabilities are also missing from the spec sheet. Samsung’s mobile should, like the iPhone 14, gain this emergency call functionality, but the Chinese certification body does not mark it anywhere. It is possible that this is due to the specific version that will be released in the country, since the Tenaa certification of the iPhone 14 did not mention this feature either.

The S23 Ultra and the rest of the family will be presented in February 2023 according to recent statements from brand executives. So there is not so long to wait to know the last detail about the S23 Ultra: its price.
