We know the release date of the Game of Thrones prequel on HBO (and OCS)

BRIEF // House of the Dragonthe series derived from Game Of Thrones, will debut on August 21 on HBO and on August 22 on OCS. A timing that places this program just before the launch of the series Lord of the Rings on Prime Video.

If you miss Westeros, you don’t have very long to wait before setting foot (and especially your eyes) there again. More precisely, it will be necessary to wait until August 21, date of diffusion of House of the Dragon on HBO, and in the process on the 22nd on OCS, which had confirmed the broadcast of the series derived from Game Of Thrones last year. This will probably be the last big broadcast from HBO for OCS before the inevitable end of the agreement to come between the two entities. This spin off will take place two centuries before the events of the original and will devote its 10 episodes to House Targaryen and the war — the Dance of the Dragons — that will lead to the end of his reign. This is George RR Martin himself who writes with Ryan J. Condal. In the casting, we will find Matt Smith, Rhys Ifans, Olivia Cooke, Paddy Considine or Emma d’Arcy. In a few weeks, we will therefore be entitled to this derivative of Game Of Thrones then to the adaptation on Prime Video of Lord of the Rings, which is due to begin on September 2. A beautiful end of summer in perspective.
