Who could go the longest without showering? Jason Priestley Reveals All About His Time As Brad Pitt’s Roommate!
As Espinof recalls, Jason Priestley and Brad Pitt were once roommates. This is indeed what the first had revealed in his autobiography, Jason Priestley: A Memoirin 2014. The interpreter of the legendary Brandon Walsh was one of those stars who shone brightly in the 90s thanks to the series Beverly Hills.
But before becoming a teen idol, the actor once returned to his North Hollywood apartment to find a young brad pitt unemployed who slept on his couch. From then on, the two became close friends and even roommates, while they both sought opportunities as actors and survived as best they could. He writes :
We lived on ramen, generic beer – the kind that came in cans labeled “beer”) and Marlboro Light cigarettes… We were broke.
At that time, brad pitt was secretly dating her Thelma & Louise co-star Geena Davis, who incidentally refused to visit their shared apartment, where they competed to see who could last the longest without showering.
“Just for fun, we used to have competitions to see who could go the longest without showering or shaving.“, he said, adding: “Brad has always won. Having to audition meant being presentable, which usually ended the challenge.”
Jason Priestley also recalled a Christmas where Brad Pitt threw a party where everyone was exchanging bottles of booze – “except our host”, he wrote. Indeed, after visiting his family in Missouri, brad pitt came back with his hands laden… with Bibles!
Brad had come back from Missouri with a box of Bibles. There was one for each of us…Brad was so pleased with himself that he couldn’t help smiling.
