“We must demonize the use of tampons”

Many young teenage girls are having their period for the first time, not knowing how to handle the situation. Marine Lorphelin has been the ambassador of the Tampax brand since this summer, for 100% organic cotton tampons. A project that is very close to his heart: “I find it important to demonize the use of tampons and to educate on their proper use”, she explained to the magazine Close.

To free up the voice about the rules and the use of different hygienic protections, Marine Lorphelin wants women to show “transparency”. During her adolescence, Miss France 2012 never had any problems with her periods but was not necessarily comfortable: “There are subjects that we did not easily discuss at home with my parents and this was one of them, ”she said. A testimony that proves the many unspoken around this subject: “Hence my desire to free speech on the networks, which are followed by a lot of young people”, she added.

In full development of healthy formats

Young general practitioner, Marine Lorphelin makes health her priority. The first runner-up at Miss World 2013 takes advantage of her notoriety on social networks to address a wide range of subjects: “There are many other subjects that interest me and that concern us: motherhood, mental stress, anxiety, cardiovascular health, prevention through screening …” For several months, the former beauty queen has been developing healthy formats on her Instagram account in the form of videos. “This is just the beginning”, she clarified. Among her projects, the influencer would like to work with other media such as radio or the press to animate columns focused on health.
