“We thought it was corny”: Stone without filter on the success of a mythical tube

New unpublished number of season 2 of Extravagantes, this completely crazy cruise, to see Friday July 22 on Paris Première at 10:45 p.m. Star TV.

In this program, the guests are surrounded by transformists… Did you enjoy this moment?

STONE: It was really nice. I like this kind of slightly eccentric, but very professional shows. There is work behind!

You sing there Adventure, the first tube of duet you formed with Eric Charden. No one really wanted that song back then?

No radio wanted to broadcast it. We thought that was corny. In addition it was a waltz when pop dominated everything… But it was the public who claimed the song from the record company after a passage on television. It is always he who decides.

Weren’t you pioneers in the duo fashion?

Totally! In France, it has often been said that the public does not like duets, that it was very Anglo-Saxon, given the success of Sonny & Cher and D’Ike & Tina Turner. But after us, there were plenty: Johnny and Sylvie, Ringo and Sheila…

How the compilation was designed Stone and Charden just out ?

There are our great successes: Made in Normandy, There is sunshine in France… Eric’s successes like Think of me and The summer will be hot. He was happy to exist alone when we went our separate ways. There are also songs that I performed solo…

In the 1980s, you began a career as an actress. Is it for the Festival that you are currently in Avignon?

I’ve played it several times, including The Vagina Monologues. But there, no, it’s to watch the grandchildren while our two children perform on stage. Daisy d’Alba in You wanted love at first sight and Martin Magli in the resumption of They love each other of Palmade-Laroque!

Do you still share your time between Paris and Auvergne?

We are less and less often in Paris. We have a family home in Auvergne. We met there at the time of the first confinement.

Why are you involved with the ADMD (Association for the right to die with dignity)?

Because the law authorizing euthanasia has still not been passed in France. People who suffer too much and want to leave are forced to go to Switzerland, for example. I admire Jean-Luc Romero, the founder of the association, who does not give up.
