WARNING – The article below contains spoilers, insofar as it returns to the last scene of “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts” and reveals one of its surprises. Please move on if you haven’t seen it yet.
The Transformers have been back in theaters since June 7. And this five years after the release of Bumbleblee, which served as much of a prequel as a spin-off of the action and science fiction saga, and took place in the 80s.
Directed by Steven Caple Jr. (Creed II), Rise of the Beasts takes a leap in time to stop in 1994, with a plot that remains prior to that of Michael Bay’s opuses.
If Optimus Prime and Bumblebee are still in the game and the Terrorcons take the place of the Decepticons in the role of the bad guys, the feature film introduces us to the Maximals, machines that take on the appearance of animals (a gorilla, a falcon, etc.) . And in the middle, humans, played by Dominique Fishback and Anthony Ramos.

Looking for a job at the beginning of the feature film, the latter ends up finding one at the end. And the epilogue shows us his job interview with a man played by Michael Kelly, a supporting role seen in particular in the series Person of Interest and House of Cards.
Anyone who has already seen him on the small and big screen suspects that the actor is not there by chance, and the end of the scene proves us right.
Transformers 8: a new film in a new format after Rise of the Beasts!
While Noah Diaz, the hero, talks about a recent job in South America, taking care to remain vague about his meeting with Transformers, his interlocutor mentions his presence in Peru and the fact that his conversations are well and truly listened to .
Then he tells him of his desire to recruit him into the mysterious organization whose name appears on the business card he leaves him: GI Joe.

If a concrete project could be announced at the time of the American release of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, on June 9, we do not yet know what form the cross-over teased by this card will take. And which looks like Nick Fury’s visit to Tony Stark at the end of the first Iron Man.
Will Noah Diaz be the hero of the next GI Joe movie? Will the super soldiers be called upon to lend a hand to the Autobots in the continuation of their war against the Decepticons for the time of an explosive collaboration? Both ?

Last May, producer Lorenzo DiBonaventura told Collider that a series centered on the character of Lady Jaye (seen in the guise of Adrianne Palicki in GI Joe 2) had been abandoned but that a new feature film was to see the light of day, two years after the failure of Snake Eyes. Which makes even more sense today. But will it be taken from scratch, or just integrate the hero of Rise of the Beasts while keeping the same angle?
The mystery is, today, total. Or almost, because the option of cross-over between Transformers and GI Joe seems to be taking shape.
