Product: Frank Care by Frank Juice Price: 29 euros Promise: The self-care bundle consists of our dry brush, a handmade bath bomb and the mouth oil from our partner Elixr. Tools with which I can give myself a little me-time in everyday life. Optics: All products are vegan and come in a linen bag. Effect: While the bath bomb sweetened my bubble bath once, both the dry brush and the mouth oil ensure a long-term self-care moment. Feel-good product because: With the dry brush I stimulate my lymph and blood circulation, the mouth drawing oil has a positive effect on dental and oral health.

Product: Hypnôse Doll Eyes Mascara Price: about 34 euros Promise: You always wanted to have eyes as big as a doll? Then the Doll Eyes Mascara could be just the thing for you. The mascara contains rich color pigments, which is why the eyelashes should appear fuller and longer. Optics: The elegantly looped flacon is refined by the Lancôme rose. The mascara brush is slightly conical and has soft bristles. Effect: Mascara is easy to apply and you immediately notice the rich color pigments. The eyelash hairs are immediately black, appear fuller and longer. The brush ensures that a lot of product can be applied. If you prefer a natural look, you should use a different brush or mascara if necessary. Feel-good product because: My eyelashes are long, but unfortunately straight as a stick. Not many mascaras have the power to shape my lashes into a glamorous curve. The Hypnôse Doll Eyes Mascara manages this and is now one of my absolute beauty favourites.
Product: Dayshade SPF 50 Cream by Beyer & Sons Price: about 50 euros Promise: The Dayshade cream is day care with SPF 50 and is said to be particularly effective against skin aging thanks to a UVA factor of 30. Astaxanthin, an antioxidant from red algae, is considered the strongest scavenger of free radicals and, with its light peach color, prevents whitening on the skin. Optics: The minimalism of the formulation is also reflected in the presentation of the product – heavy glass bottle, delicate writing. Effect: The cream from Beyer & Söhne is the perfect mix. It feels light, moisturizes and protects. Feel-good product because: I no longer feel like heavy sun protection in autumn, but I still don’t want to expose my skin to factors that promote skin aging.
Less hair breakage thanks to this science?
Melanie is surprised by the texture of the L’Oréal Professionnel Paris Serie Expert Metal DX hair oil.
Product: L’Oréal Professionnel Paris Series Expert Metal DX Oil Price: 35 euros Promise: Rich, protective hair oil for a smooth shine. The reason for hair breakage when coloring and bleaching is said to be metals contained in the water that penetrate the hair. The entire Metal range therefore contains the molecule glicoamine, which is said to neutralize the metals and thereby prevent split ends. Optics: The packaging of the bottle looks and feels very high quality. The hair oil comes with a pump dispenser, which I always appreciate. Effect: I have never tested a hair oil that is so light on the hair. The texture feels more like a serum and doesn’t make my hair greasy at all. What I particularly appreciate is that the product also protects against heat of up to 230 degrees – one step saved! I have to say that I find the science behind the whole range very interesting. I was new to the fact that even the cleanest water can contain metal particles that are absorbed by the hair fibers and cause damage there. The product range is therefore particularly interesting if you dye and bleach your hair like I do (even in the salon!). This hair oil restores lost softness and healthy shine to my hair. Whether hair breakage is really prevented, I can only say in a few months. What I can confirm now is that my hair feels healthy and strengthened. I can style it well despite the oil because the texture is so light and doesn’t pull my hair down. With other hair oils, my hair does not hold a blow-dry or curls. Feel-good product because: I simply feel more beautiful and well-groomed with healthy hair.
