In the new year we’ll be checking out the coolest beauty innovations for you again. Which ones convinced us in January and sweetened the cold days? Our BRIGITTE editors will introduce you to four new products that they discovered this month.

Product: Probiotics & Superfoods 24-7 Ultra Hydration Serum from Tula Skincare
Price: 30ml approx. 48 euros
Promise: We all want our skin to feel good without irritation or irritating ingredients. With the help of superfoods and the Triple Hydra complex of polyglutamic acid and hyaluronic acid with three different molecular weights, Tula Skincare promises plump and healthy skin – without microplastics, parabens, etc.
Optics: The serum comes in a sophisticated bottle with a pump mechanism. The transparent flash provides a first look at the product and the squalane beads it contains.
Effect: When used for the first time, the pump mechanism takes time to get started, after which the product can be easily dosed. The serum is rich, thicker than expected and leaves a very pleasant film on the skin. It is odorless and does not clump when applied. It’s great to wear as a makeup base, but I applied it in the evening before or instead of my night cream. My skin absorbed the product well and small wrinkles from dryness disappeared after a few days.
Perfect start to the new beauty year because, I decided to take better care of my skin before going to bed. The serum can be applied either alone or with the addition of a cream. Especially in winter I notice that my skin needs more moisture – in summer I still have to find out whether the serum is the right choice or whether it is too rich for my skin.

Product: Instant Perfector Glow 4-in-1 Foundation by Maybelline New York
Price: 20ml, approx. 15 euros
Promise: Is it a concealer? Is it a primer? A highlighter or BBCream? It’s all in one and not only simplifies the routine, but also gives the skin a silky, shiny finish.
Optics: Very attractive! The 4-in-1 make-up comes in an elongated dispenser that dispenses the fine serum via a soft sponge.
Effect: Just turn the cap a few times and hey presto, the make-up can be applied very easily. The product feels extremely delicate, does not weigh you down and, with its light coverage, allows some of your own skin to shine through. The finish has a particularly matting effect.
Perfect start to the new beauty year because: The Perfector is the ideal choice, especially if you have to do it quickly in the morning. It saves me several annoying make-up steps and the fluffy applicator even makes a brush or sponge unnecessary.

Product: Sheglam Lip Plumper in Sepia Kiss
Price: about 4 euros
Promise: This solid lip gloss in the form of a stick is designed to shine brilliantly on the lips without sticking. Nourishing coconut oil provides moisture, the color should be rich with a glossy finish.
Optics: The simple plastic pen comes in a white holographic case.
Effect: A solid lip gloss? Isn’t that a contradiction? No, in fact it is exactly that: you press on one side so that the very buttery product appears on the other. It really applies like a dream and literally slides over the lips. Extremely creamy and luckily the color is translucent, which makes the lips look naturally tinted. “Sepia Kiss” is a fairly brownish shade that I don’t like wearing with every look – I’ll try out the other shades. But the perfect color for the “espresso make-up” trend!
It smells and tastes like commercially available coconut oil – very natural. Otherwise I can’t achieve any artificially added scent. I can also absolutely confirm the promise that the gloss would provide moisture. It really is just as rich as my beloved Aquaphore, you actually don’t need any extra lip care at all on days when you wear the Lip Plumper. I am very surprised and excited! Preferably one of these in every handbag.
Perfect start to the new beauty year because: Because now I have a more pigmented alternative to my beloved tinted lip oils. I love moisture and color at the same time anyway – game changer!

Product: Hydro Refresh facial care spray from Lavera
Price: about 9 euros
Promise: TheHydro Refresh facial care spray is intended to naturally balance the skin’s moisture content. The effective and well-tolerated formula replenishes the skin’s moisture reserves and thus strengthens the barrier function.
Optics: The blue bottle makes you look forward to what the facial spray promises: moisture, moisture.
Effect: My skin struggles with dry patches, especially in winter. The problem: The barrier function is weakened. However, with the Lavera spray I now have this worry less. The fine mist feels silky on the skin and is not heavy at all. Instead, my skin feels extra moisturized and strengthened in addition to my regular night cream. For me now a must in the evening!
