Weather: hot and sunny weather before thunderstorms in the Southwest



Lhe day will be hot and sunny in the country on Tuesday before a stormy deterioration in the South-West, according to Météo-France forecasts. Overall, the day will be sunny across the country. However, quite early in the afternoon, thunderstorms will develop over the Pyrenees. Locally there will be possible strong gusts of wind and hail. As for temperatures, the minimums will be between 8 and 13 degrees north of the Loire, between 14 and 18 in the south, with locally 20 to 22 degrees on the Mediterranean coast.

In the afternoon, the heat will gain ground over a large southern half of the country with maximum temperatures ranging from 30 to 33 degrees south of the Loire and up to locally 36 degrees near the Rhône valley, as well as than in the plains of the South-West, in particular in Aquitaine. Temperatures will be more moderate in the north with often 25 to 29 degrees, and 22 to 25 north of the Seine.
