Weather: unstable over a good eastern half of the country



VFriday August 26, showers will water the regions going from the North-East borders, to Île-de-France, Burgundy, the Massif Central and Midi-Pyrénées, according to Météo-France. Isolated thunderstorms may break out on the eastern side of this area. These punctually stormy showers will move slowly during the day towards the east, they will extend in the afternoon towards the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region becoming increasingly rare and will only concern Alsace. and Lorraine in the evening.

At the rear, to the west of a line running from Dunkirk to the Landes coast, a mixed sky will be in order, alternating cloudy spells and sunny spells. Clouds will remain blocked over Piedmont and the Pyrenees chain for a good part of the day giving some light rain. Conditions will still be summery from Roussillon to Languedoc and the lower Rhone Valley. A few diurnal showers will affect the Corsican relief. The Tramontane will blow from 60 to 70 km/h at the start of the day and then weaken over the hours.

In terms of temperatures, the minimums will be between 15 and 20 degrees in general, but no more than 11 to 12 in the interior of Brittany. The maximums will range from 21 to 23 degrees on the Channel coasts, from 30 to 33 on the Mediterranean shore and between 24 and 28 on the rest of the country.
