Torrential rains fell, this Wednesday at the start of the evening, in Isère and in the Rhône. An intense phenomenon which quickly made circulation difficult. On the A43 motorway, especially in Nord-Isère, “we were driving at 40 km / h, we could not see five meters away”, testifies a motorist to our colleagues from Dauphiné Libéré.
In a few minutes, the roads were flooded by several centimeters of water, on the section Saint-Quentin-Fallavier/La Verpillière, the most exposed to flooding. Although no serious event was to be deplored, several material clashes were reported, as the storm progressed from West to East.
On the A42 at Vaulx-en-Velin or Villeurbanne, large puddles have been identified.
In the Rhône, several incidents have occurred here and there. To Saint-Symphorien-d’Ozon, the alleys of the village were flooded. Lyon Météo reveals on Twitter that about thirty centimeters fell in the space of half an hour.
Power outages were reported to firefighters.
To Vourles also, the downpours caused flooding, and the brooms had to be taken out.
