Newton is particularly known for having lent her features to the character of Maeve in all three seasons of the HBO series Westworlda role for which she won an Emmy Award in 2018. On television, she also appeared in the series EMERGENCIES, Snape And The Slapand was seen at the cinema in Mission: Impossible II, Collision, 2012 or Solo: A Star Wars Story.

The details surrounding the character that Newton will play are as mysterious as what is hidden under cousin Machin’s hair. We imagine that she could play a new professor at Nevermore Academy or another member of the Addams family.

The mystery remains unsolved around this season 2 of the Netflix series, which follows the tribulations of young Wednesday Addams as she continues her studies at Nevermore Academy.

Showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (Smallville) have mentioned in the past that other members of this atypical family could appear in the series, and mentioned the idea of ​​deepening the relationship between Wednesday and her mother Morticia (played by Catherine Zeta-Jones) in the rest of the show . Apart from this, they also suggested that season 2 of Wednesday would be more focused on horror than romance.

Filming for season 2 of the series will begin at the end of the month in Ireland, but the return of Wednesday on Netflix does not yet have a specific date. In addition to Jenna Ortega in the title role, the cast includes Hunter Doohan (Tyler Galpin), Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair), and Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay).
