A few months after the release of Wednesday on Netflix, one of its actors faces serious charges of sexual assault. Since January 19, alleged victims have been sharing their testimonies on Twitter against Percy Hynes White, the interpreter of Xavier in the series directed and produced by Tim Burton.
The 21-year-old Canadian actor, who distinguished himself in Night at the Museum and the series The Gifted, has gained immense popularity since the release of the first season of the Wednesday series, worn by Jenna Ortega, who was a hit on Netflix. Today, he is accused of abuse, sexual assault and rape of minors.

It all started with the testimony of a young woman, under the nickname @milkievichwho explained that Percy Hynes White and his group of friends in Toronto “were known, since they were 15, for their behavior as predators who manipulated girls into having sex with them or sharing nude photos without their consent.”
She also claims that this group, of which Percy Hynes White is a member, used to throw parties in a basement and invite young women over for the sole purpose of boozing them, taking advantage of them and abuse them.

The facts would have taken place when the actor was in high school and in higher education, and he would have abused, assaulted and raped young underage women, sometimes only aged 13 or 14, when he was between 17 and 20 years old.
Since @milkievich’s testimony, other young people have taken to social media, including Twitter and TikTok, to share their experiences with Percy Hynes White and his friends. Many chat screenshots have been posted on the networks, including nude photos of the actor that he allegedly sent to young women.
People have also shared messages where the actor recognizes some of his behavior in certain conversations and where he questions the words of young women in others. A Twitter user realized a Twitter feed which lists all the testimonies of people accusing the actor and even a video in which he releases a racist insult.
Similar experiences of other young women have been widely shared and would reveal a modus operandi of Percy Hynes White and his friends towards their victims. Furthermore, @milkievich explains that one of the victims had tried at the time to report the incident to the police but that his complaint had not been taken into account.

Some women also claim that the actor and his friends have already been accused of rape by other girls who attended the same school as him. This is the case of user @desireecameron who accuses Percy of not having stopped one of his friends from taking action: “He let me get raped in his basement, and when he called me to talk about it, he was mostly worried about the police, he didn’t ask me if I was okay”.

Since these accusations surfaced on the networks, some Internet users have used the hashtag #cancelpercy in order to make this case gain momentum. In addition, fans of the series want Percy Hynes White to be fired from the series Wednesday, which has been renewed for a second season.
