Young actress Jenna Ortega spoke about disturbing experiences on social networks in a new interview.

She is the star of the hit Netflix series “Wednesday”. In September she will also take on one of the main roles in Tim Burton’s (66) latest film “Beetlejuice”. The 21-year-old American Jenna Ortega is clearly one of the stars of the moment. However, in an interview with the New York Times’ “Interview” podcast, Ortega revealed disturbing experiences on the social network Twitter, which is now known under the name X.

Jenna Ortega saw AI-generated pornographic images of herself

Ortega reports that when she was younger she was advised to open a Twitter account to build her “image.” But then at the age of 14 she saw “dirty edited content” of herself as a child. When the interviewer asked if she meant “AI-generated, pornographic images” of herself, Ortega answered with a clear: “Yes, of course.”

The young star further reveals that the very first personal message she opened at the age of just twelve showed a man’s genitals. The actress continues: “And that was just the beginning of what was to come.”

“It was disgusting and I felt bad. I felt uncomfortable,” Ortega continues. These and other disturbing experiences led her to delete her Twitter account “about two or three years ago.” Especially after the release of the Netflix series “Wednesday,” she received a large number of “absurd images and photos.”

“That’s why I deleted it, because I couldn’t say anything without seeing something like that. One day I woke up and thought, oh, I don’t need this anymore. So I ended it.”
