Bloody scenes took place in front of a bar in Vienna-Margareten on Sunday night. Two men got into an argument, the argument shifted to the street and ended up in the hospital with serious stab wounds for one of the two opponents.

Police and ambulance were alerted at around 12:45 a.m. The 31-year-old had suffered severe stab wounds in some cases – it has not yet been clarified with which murder weapon, as witness statements differ. The suspect was arrested in the restaurant by officers from the standby unit with the support of WEGA. The 31-year-old was cared for by the professional rescue service after the police had first given him first aid and was then taken to the hospital. The investigation is ongoing. Guests threatened and insulted for no reason As early as 10:45 p.m., a 22-year-old had insulted guests in a restaurant on Karlsplatz for no apparent reason and threatened them with a jackknife. The Russian citizen is also said to have punched a man in the face. After his arrest, he refused to testify. According to the police, a 41-year-old Slovakian with a blood alcohol content of three per thousand grabbed a knife on Saturday evening because he suspected that a 38-year-old woman with whom he had previously been drinking stole his wallet. He was arrested and the murder weapon was secured.
