The farewell broadcast of the show series "Welcome to Carmen Nebel" is not taking place as planned in December this year.
The last edition of the show series "Welcome to Carmen Nebel" (since 2004) by and with name and hostess Carmen Nebel (63) will be postponed. The broadcaster said today: "Due to the current situation, ZDF has decided to postpone the last episode of the ZDF show series 'Welcome to Carmen Nebel', which is planned for December 12, 2020, to the next year."
Hall audience in the live show
The reason for the postponement is the wish "to have the last edition after 17 years take place in a suitable atmosphere in front of a large audience of audiences if possible". The broadcaster does not yet give the specific date, but it does say that the farewell show should take place "in spring 2021 in Berlin". And that "the who's who of the music and pop industry" is expected in the live broadcast.
Next show from Riesa
Before the big farewell, fans can expect another normal edition. The next "Welcome to Carmen Nebel" broadcast will be broadcast live from Riesa on September 19, 2020 at 8:15 p.m. "Due to the applicable corona security requirements, the broadcast takes place without a hall audience," said the broadcaster.
No farewell to Carmen Nebel
In April 2019, the broadcaster announced that the entertainment show would be discontinued. However, Carmen Nebel remains as the presenter. As the broadcaster said at the time, she would concentrate on those charity shows that she had been hosting for a long time: the donation galas of the German Cancer Aid and "The most beautiful Christmas hits" for "Bread for the World" and "Misereor".
