There are currently good offers in the household sector at Aldi. The discounter offers, among other things, a vacuum robot with a suitable suction station in its online shop for less than 300 euros.

The vacuum robot with suction station is the Dreame D9 Plus, an older device from a well-known manufacturer. The suction power is 2,500 Pascal – these days that’s not particularly much, but it’s enough to properly remove dust and crumbs from hard floors.

Thanks to the carpet sensor, it detects these and sets the suction power to the maximum so that they are cleaned better. However, you shouldn’t expect miracles when cleaning carpets. In this price range, conventional handheld vacuum cleaners clean carpets much better, especially if they have deep piles.

The wiping system is simple and is suitable for wiping with a damp cloth. But it doesn’t replace a mop. What sets the Dreame vacuum cleaner apart is its good and efficient navigation using laser distance sensors. They are among the most accurate and ensure that your apartment is mapped in detail and larger obstacles are reliably detected.

Suction station for more comfort

The suction station with dust bag empties the dust container of the vacuum robot after each cleaning cycle. This is a convenience gain because you don’t have to change the dust bag as often.

The Dreame model is a solid vacuum robot that is basically sufficient for everyday use if there is not a lot of dirt. Although the performance of modern devices is significantly higher than that of the Aldi vacuum cleaner, they often cost 1,000 euros or more. For less than 300 euros, you get a decent overall package at a fair price.

  • 2,500 Pascal suction power

  • LDS navigation

  • Incl. suction station with dust bag

The Dreame D9 Plus impresses primarily with its price. Thanks to the suction station and laser navigation, it is a decent household helper with decent suction power and a simple wiping system. Other retailers currently only offer it without a suction station – although not much cheaper than the set at Aldi, but from 255 euros.
