Wendel: 9.2% drop in NAV over 12 months – 03/16/2023 at 6:13 p.m.


(CercleFinance.com) – Wendel posted revalued net assets (ANR) as of December 31, 2022 of 7.45 billion euros, or 167.9 euros per share. Over the year 2022, the NAV per share fell by 9.2%, reflecting the fall in the equity markets in the value of listed assets.

The investment group achieved consolidated revenue of 8,700 ME in 2022, up 15.9% of which +10.7% organically over one year, with in particular total double-digit growth for all group companies

Consolidated net income came to 1,022 ME, compared to 1,376 ME in 2021, and net income group share amounted to 656 ME.

‘ Wendel can now initiate a new stage in its development based on strategic orientations that create value for all its shareholders. Our ambition is, first of all, to invest around 2 billion euros within 24 months, in companies in Europe and North America,” says Laurent Mignon, Chairman of the Management Board.

“Furthermore, Wendel has decided to develop management activity on behalf of third parties, relying on the legitimacy and competence of its teams. This new business, whose growth will take place over time, will represent a new source of value creation, alongside its activity as a long-term investor. Our objective is to offer our shareholders a double-digit TSR’, concludes the manager.
