Werder Bremen defeats Dortmund 3:2

Bremen turn the score against BVB within six minutes. Meanwhile, Leverkusen also lost the third Bundesliga game – 0:3 against Hoffenheim.

Only frustration remains for Dortmund with Marco Reus (middle): They concede two more goals against Werder Bremen in added time and lose 2:3.

(sda) It doesn’t seem possible to give away a sure win like Borussia Dortmund did against newly promoted Werder Bremen. Dortmund led 2-0 after 88 minutes – and still lost 2-3.

Coach Edin Terzic’s team had won the first two league games against Bayer Leverkusen and in Freiburg, but now showed the first weakness that was not to be expected. The Englishman Lee Buchanan, the German Niklas Schmidt and the Scot Oliver Burke needed six minutes at the end of the game to turn the ball in favor of Werder.

Bayer Leverkusen and his coach Gerardo Seoane failed completely at the start of the season. With a 0:3 at home against Hoffenheim, Leverkusner also lost the third championship game. Leaving the German Cup at the third division Elversberg makes the false start even more bitter.

After Seoane took office a year ago, Bayer took seven points from their first three games. In the end, 3rd place and participation in the Champions League looked out.

It is not to be expected that the employment of Seoane, the three-time YB master trainer, is already in danger because of the early bear market. The Leverkusen squad is strong enough to bring about a turnaround in the next few weeks and maybe also in the Champions League.

Developed for Union Berlin, the signing of Super League top scorer Jordan Siebatcheu has already proven to be a profitable business. The American scored again in the 2-1 home win over favored RB Leipzig – this time to make it 1-0 in the first half. The team of successful Zurich coach Urs Fischer started much better with seven points from three games than Leipzig, who only scored with two draws.
