KYIV, May 20 (Reuters) – Decisions by Western allies on military support for Ukraine are taking too long, Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky said on Monday in an exclusive interview with Reuters in Kyiv .

He called the delivery of military aid, including air defense systems like the Patriot systems that Ukraine relies on to defend itself against Russia, a “big step forward” but before that regretted “the two steps behind” its allies.

He also regretted that the decisions taken were “a year late”.
