(AOF) – Western Digital has relaunched negotiations with the Japanese company Kioxia Holdings Corp. for a merger agreement between the two computer storage specialists, says Bloomberg citing sources familiar with the matter. The current talks, which were reignited late last year, are still in their early stages and could also end without a deal being reached, they added. Discussions in 2021 between the two groups had failed. The two companies have a joint venture that manufactures flash memory.
