Jennifer Garner is also in “Western” fever

The western trend is here to stay. This is proven not only by numerous fashionistas on Instagram, but also by big stars like Jennifer Garner, 52, and Beyoncé, 42. With her single “Texas Hold ‘Em,” she landed an unforgettable country hit, which she also realized visually. The style made it to the front row of Paris Fashion Week, with the singer appearing in a decorated outfit with a cowboy hat. But how do you wear the cowgirl style away from the runway in 2024? More casual, cooler, and if you like, a little glamorous too.

Western trend: We need these three must-haves now

1. The cowboy boots

The shoe, which was originally worn by cowboys as riding boots, is still very popular today. It’s no wonder when you take a closer look at the shoes: They have a relatively high heel and feature bright colors and embroidery. More is definitely more here. Fashion tip: If the boot comes in the trendy color silver, nothing can go wrong. If you like things particularly authentic, check out your local vintage shops for used boots. The slightly worn look perfectly underlines the western style and, to be honest, used boots are much more comfortable and cheaper than new leather boots anyway. So, what more could we want?

2. The cowboy hat

If you thought that cowboy hats were only found during carnival season or at the local line dance club, you’re wrong. The hats are now suitable for everyday use – well, at least more suitable for everyday use. If you’re not 100 percent sure about this statement accessory, you can try out the trend on the beach with a relaxed straw version. If you want to make a real statement, gather all your courage and go for the felt version and style it with a party outfit made of glitter stones and sequins.

3. The denim shirt

While in the past we opted for the dreamy version of the cowgirl style with ruffles, flounces and the like or the XXL version with an oversized cut, we now wear the denim shirt with less frills. We mostly forego frills because we let the tailored cut speak for itself. The look looks particularly cool and modern when combined with flared jeans. Add a bandana and you have the rodeo look that Dolly Parton would definitely be proud of! And let’s be honest, even if we should perhaps take a little less inspiration from Dolly when it comes to the hairstyle, the style icon always knew what she was doing.
