Thomas Gottschalk would “bet, that…?” like to moderate again regularly, as he said “Hörzu”. But others should also play along…
Will Thomas Gottschalk (72) “bet, that…?” continue hosting after the two announced new shows? In a “Hörzu” interview, the TV star explained that he would like to present the show regularly again afterwards. But others would have to decide: “I’m open-ended if ZDF and God agree,” he said.
What Gottschalk, however, is therefore out of the question: an annual summer edition, for example from Mallorca: “It was always a topic of conversation, but ultimately disappointing in terms of ratings,” he said “Hörzu”. “In the memory of ZDF viewers, the summer edition is also inextricably linked to the bullring on Mallorca. However, this building is now dilapidated and would no longer survive such a large event.”

For the first time, however, Thomas Gottschalk returns on Saturday, November 19 (8:15 p.m., live on ZDF) with “Wetten, dass…?” return. The presenter and sidekick Michelle Hunziker (45) welcomes stars like Robbie Williams (48) and Herbert Grönemeyer (66) to the exhibition center in Friedrichshafen.
The show is said to include a “rapid outside bet”, a children’s bet and a bicycle and excavator bet. Hollywood legend John Malkovich (68), the comedians Michael Bully Herbig (54) and Christoph Maria Herbst (56) and the actress duo Veronica Ferres (57) and daughter Lilly Krug (21) act as betting sponsors. Tennis player and Olympic champion Alexander Zverev (25) and soccer players Alexandra Popp (31) and Giulia Gwinn (23) will also sit on the couch. The social media celebrities Lisa and Lena (20) give backstage insights and accompany the show live and digitally.
In 2021 there was a “Wetten, dass..?” edition designed as a one-off comeback, which attracted 15 million people in front of the TV sets. A little later it became known that “Wetten, dass..?” will definitely be produced with Gottschalk in 2022 and 2023.
