what are the exceptions?

End of the curfew and lifting of the wearing of the mask: the deconfinement continues. But be careful to respect the rules …

At the end of the Council of Ministers of June 16, 2021, Jean Castex announced the end of the compulsory mask outdoors on Thursday, June 17, 2021. The curfew will be lifted on Sunday, June 20, ten days ahead of schedule initial. “This measure met a real need, the very good results recorded no longer justify it”, explained the Prime Minister, who specifies that France is below 5,000 cases of contamination per day. The last curfew will therefore take place during the night from Saturday to Sunday, from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Be careful, however: the mask remains mandatory outdoors in places with a high concentration of people: gatherings, crowded places, queues, stadiums. These exceptions will be specified in writing on Thursday June 17, 2021 via prefectural decrees. Remember to take your most beautiful mask for the Fête de la Musique, for example!
