Télématin, New look for a new life, Love is in the meadow… These French television classics all have one thing in common: Veronique Mounier. Yes, during her career, the presenter has been a essential emblematic figure of the small screen. And for good reason, she worked for all the behemoths, TF1, M6, France Télévisions and others on DTT. However, for several years, the host has been much more discreet. The reason ? “A click” after the death of his father and a major audiovisual project that fell through in 2018. “I saw that as signs… But it had been in my head for several seasons”she explained during an exclusive interview with Tele-Leisure the same year.
In the end, Véronique Mounier completely changed jobs and resumed studies in his chosen field, health. “I could have done medicine, but I had chosen a doctorate in pharmacy for the same reasons: prevent people from getting sickit’s always been my thing“, she first confided, before adding: “I resumed my studies, two very tough years to complete my doctorate in pharmacy by a diploma in nutritherapy and micronutrition. And I opened my practice.” More concretely, the ex-host uses the “functional medicine” on patients with “dysfunctions of their whole bodynot organ by organ”.
“I really found my passion”
Today, Véronique Mounier is completely blossoming in her new life. “It is extremely gratifying to detect early to avoid the worst. I’m into prevention and it’s exciting“, she rejoiced. However, she still looks at her journey with great pride, and a touch of nostalgia: “I did some very cool and funny things. I had a lot of fun working. It’s as if TV had been the adolescence of my life. Today more mature, I really found my passion. I feel in my place and in addition I feel useful.” And if some dream of seeing Véronique Mounier again on a TV set, it may not be a lost cause. “In life, you should never say never. […] But if I were to come back fully on TV one day it would be to do the TV show that I want“she concluded.
