The friend zone is the area where men almost never want to be and women often don’t want to be either. It means you have a romantic interest in a person who only wants to be friends with you. Colloquially, in this case, you were ”friendzoned”.
How is the friend zone created?
In most cases, one of the two people misinterprets the other person’s signs and thinks there is a mutual interest. At some point, however, one person realizes that the intimate feelings are one-sided and the other person is only interested in friendship. However, in order to be able to continue spending time together, the person in love simply accepts the situation and ultimately ends up in the friend zone.
