That means Luser: irritating computer users, DAU, Dulli

The term “luser” is a portmanteau of the English terms “loser” and “user” in the sense of “(computer) user”. In Internet language, a “luser” is understood to mean particularly annoying and clumsy computer users. The term can be used similar to “DAU” or “Dulli”.

Origin of Luser

“Luser” didn’t enter internet slang until the 1990s, but it came into existence in the mid-1970s. In 1975, at MIT, one of the most famous technical universities in the world, the computer system showed a status message before logging on. This contained the number of users logged in, i.e. “5 users”. A prankster changed the system and “User” became “Loser”, which eventually became “Luser” after some complaints.
