Tori Spelling is famous for playing the adorable Donna on “Beverly Hills,” but what has she been up to since the show ended?
Before becoming famous thanks to Beverly Hills, Tori Spelling already had some experience on set, having started in 1981 in several series including Fantasy Island and The Love Boat, as well as Hooker.
Donna, a heart as big as this

In 1990, she joined Beverly Hills in the role of Donna, a slightly shy only child who discovered her dyslexia late in life. She is obviously in love with David (Brian Austin Green), with whom she lives a great love story that will not be without setbacks.
Among her conquests, Donna will suffer several disappointments, some of them serious, like Ray, who will go so far as to hit her and whom she will have the courage to leave.
Donna is also the best friend of Kelly Taylor, played by Jenny Garth (find out what she’s become since the end of the series) and quickly becomes close to Brenda (Shannen Doherty, sadly recently deceased) and Andrea (Gabrielle Carteris).
A unique personality
During the filming of Beverly Hills, Tori Spelling participated, like other colleagues, in the spin-off of the series, Melrose Place, for the first two episodes. She also appeared in her own role in Scream 2 (1997), which perhaps echoes her choice to film in 2001 in Scary Movie 2, a parody of horror films.
She multiplied projects, but never as a headliner, before proposing another parody, this time of her own life. The project was called So NoTORIous (2006) and the actress achieved comic feats, an aspect that she had not really been able to reveal in Beverly Hills.
Fans who haven’t seen them yet should take a look at these ten episodes which didn’t really find their audience at the time, leading to the cancellation of the project.

She continued the decade by appearing in Smallville as a manipulative and dangerous Daily Planet gossip reporter, discovering that she can turn into water and shape it, and then in Beverly Hills, 90210: Next Generation.
In the two episodes in which she reprises her role, we discover that Donna is the mother of a little girl Ruby that she had with David in Japan. Their relationship is complicated, and she chooses to return to Beverly Hills, drawing a line under their relationship.
Five years would pass before she returned with another project of her own: Mystery Girls, a crime comedy in which she once again starred opposite Jennie Garth. Again, the project was cancelled after 10 episodes.
Reality TV and return to Beverly Hills
Alongside her acting career, she regularly produces and appears in reality TV shows, some of which are successful, such as Tori & Dean: Inn Love (2007 – 2012) and others more ephemeral (True Tori).
After a small role in The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time (2018), she starred in Beverly Hills: BH90210, again a series where she gets to play out an alternate version of her life. Most of the Beverly Hills cast returns: Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Jason Priestley, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, and Brian Austin Green.
In 2024, she finished filming Kill with Me, a thriller in which contestants on a TV game show are placed in booths and must get enough “likes” from the audience, or they are handed over to a serial killer. We could well imagine her as the host of this crazy game show…
