Questioned in the Revu program on France 5, Elise Lucet was very hard with the news channels continuously. His remarks also shocked the journalists of BFMTV.
It’s no secret that Elise Lucet has always been candid when it comes to talking about her work as a journalist and her investigative methods. But this time, for some, she went a little too hard. Interviewed on the show Saw againon France 5, on June 5, the journalist from France 2 gave her opinion on the subject of continuous news channels. And the least we can say is that she does not really appreciate this type of journalism : “I’m going to be completely honest. I hardly ever watch news TV continuously. None. Really. Not even franceinfo. I don’t have time and I’m drunk! There’s a side where you keeps it like that, in suspense. For me, a journalist is not someone who has a microphone, like that, and who speaks in front of a camera”.
Elise Lucet pushes the nail a little further: “A journalist is someone who goes out into the field, who meets people, who takes risks, as we said in Ukraine, who takes risks because he investigates a little strong”. Very strong words against the journalist from France 2, who was not kind to the news channels continuously: “I’m not interested in news commentators. I want to see real people. I don’t want to see journalists talking about real people. I want to hear people from field, people who do lots of different jobs. I don’t want them to be journalists, who, in front of a camera, tell people’s lives as if they were sociologists looking at people with a magnifying glass. who are agitated below”.
