If no Star Wars film will be released in 2024, aficionados will be able to fall back on several series and a few video games.
For Star Wars, the year 2023 is almost over. There is only one TV series left to air: Skeleton Crew. Barring any drama, it is supposed to arrive on Disney+ around December. However, no trailer has been released online yet. Since then, rumors have suggested that its programming will take place in 2024.
Which films Star Wars in 2024?
To this simple question, the answer is easily given: none. There are no feature films Star Wars scheduled for 2024. Lucasfilm has several projects in the works, but they are not at an advanced enough stage to be shown in theaters. The production company is hatching around ten films, but we will have to wait until the second half of the decade to see them.

On the series side, on the other hand, Lucasfilm will have enough to supply its parent company’s streaming platform throughout the year. Besides Skeleton Crew, the broadcast of which could possibly slip to 2024, there are today at least two series whose release next year is certain. Two others also have a good chance of arriving in 2024.
The Acolyte
The Acolyte is helmed by American filmmaker Leslye Headland. According to the presentation made by Lucasfilm, it is a thriller taking place a century before the events depicted in The Phantom Menace, during the High Republic. We are promised an investigation alongside a duo – a master and his padawan – who will lead him to discover a dark and sinister secret.
The Bad Batch, season 3
This will be the third and final season of The Bad Batch. This animated series features a small team of clone troopers whose genetics are deviant. Hence the nickname “bad batch”, since the clone troopers were produced on an assembly line, at an industrial rate. Sixteen episodes are expected for this season – like the first two.
Andor, season 2
The excellent series Andor must return in the summer of 2024 and make the connection with Rogue Onethe first spin-off film Star Wars. Unsurprisingly, we will follow the rest of Cassian Andor’s evolution as a rebel. Ultimately, its challenge will be to be equal to itself: a formidable science fiction series, as well as a magnificent work Star Wars.
The Mandalorian season 4
This is the series live action the most developed at Lucasfilm, to date. We know that a fourth season for The Mandalorian is under construction. The broadcast date is more uncertain, however: it could be 2024, or 2025. It should consist of eight episodes. One question remains: will this be the last season of The Mandalorian before hitting the big screen?

Star Wars Outlaws
Star Wars Outlaws promises to be an open world, where players will evolve temporally between The Empire Strikes Back And Return of the Jedi. The first visuals offered by Ubisoft were appreciated and, according to the studio, it will be an open world RPG with a reasonable lifespan. Because we know them, these games with an immense lifespan, but which we never finish.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
To tell the truth, we put this title in 2024, but the remake project of Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) announced by Sony in 2021 appears to be at an impasse. There was originally talk of a launch in 2022. Since then, the publisher has been discreet about its intentions. We even wonder if the site was not simply abandoned along the way.
Star Wars: Eclipse
Star Wars Eclipse is the new project from Quantic Dream. It was announced at the end of 2021 with a tantalizing trailer. In this video game, which must combine strong narration and action/adventure sequences, is set in the era of the High Republic, well before the prelogy. Information about him is still patchy. The release date has also not been decided with certainty.
