But what is Xavier Niel preparing for us? © Iliad

The Iliad group is about to launch a new brand, Stancer, which should be similar to an online payment solution.

After telecommunications, media, real estate, or even agriculture, now Xavier Niel and Iliad are interested in financial services, with the emergence of a new subsidiary called “Stancer”. The latter has also started its communication process and is recruiting several permanent employees.

With Stancer, Iliad and Xavier Niel pull out a new trick from their bag

The payment revolution is coming… It was with this mysterious tweet, accompanied by a GIF and published on Wednesday at the end of the day, that Stancer started his communication campaign, in the verbal style and the staging that we know well from Free, carries – flag of the Parisian group Iliad.

What do we know about this new subsidiary? Well, actually not much, but we can already draw the outlines. Above all, concerning the visual aspect, our colleagues fromFreebox Universe point out that the company has a website, Stancer.comconsisting of a single home page on which we find the famous rocket dear to Xavier Niel.

Initially, the rocket displayed the following message, coded in base 64: ” We return the money “. From now on, this sentence is replaced by a call for recruitment, with a rather evocative associated e-mail address: [email protected]

From there, we fall back on the recruitment page of the Iliad group that we visited and which presents, at the time of writing these lines, five offers all on permanent contracts for positions of iOS developer, financial manager, senior Python developer, IT operations manager and product manager. At the beginning of the year, Stancer was looking for a data scientist, a community manager, or even a front end developer, positions that seem to have been filled since they disappeared from the recruitment page.

Stancer sits at Iliad, with an organizational chart emerging

Regarding Stancer’s activity, the company states in its Twitter bio, ” helping businesses grow with simple, accessible and transparent payment solutions “. By browsing on LinkedIn, we learn that Stancer says he specializes in the payment solution, in online payment and in-store and e-commerce payment. A French square? Maybe.

On the social network dedicated to professionals, Stancer mentions wanting to make ” simpler, more accessible and more transparent infrastructures “, allowing each individual ” to reach their entrepreneurial potential “.

On the various company registers available online, we see that Stancer is headquartered at 16, rue de la Ville-l’Évêque in the 8e arrondissement in Paris, which is already the headquarters of Iliad and Free. “Stancer” is the trade name of the company. Its name is “Iliad 78”.

Finally, concerning Stancer’s organizational chart, George H. Owen is identifiable as the CEO (therefore the chairman and managing director) of the company. He is known for his time with the Austrian brand Waterdrop. Aurélien Beaujean, Iliad’s renowned telecom engineer, is expected to be technology boss and chairman of the board.
