It’s in the small details that you see the quality of a user interface: with Google Calendar, this has never been so true. Google’s calendar application sees a small change coming to its Android version, as reported 9to5Google.

It’s easier to choose what type of event to add in Google Calendar

Until now, when you wanted to add an event to Google Calendar, you had to click on a “+” (a floating action button), then select from “event“, “stain” Or “out of office» (only for Google Workspace accounts). But once the menu is selected, it is impossible to change the type of event if you make a mistake.

This is what Google Calendar version 2024.07.0-608174112 regulates. It actually displays an event type selector, between an event, a task or out of office. Tapping on it will change the completion options automatically. What’s strange is that the button showing the three options, the “+» is still present in Google Calendar. It can be assumed that soon the application will remove it in order to simplify the user interface.

For now, the new feature is only available on the Android version of the application. It has not yet arrived on the iOS version, which however received new lock screen widgets.
