What Jamie Dimon needs to learn about Bitcoin

“I think there’s a big chance when we’re at 21 million Bitcoin that Satashi [sic.] will show up, laugh hysterically and delete all Bitcoin,” says Jamie Dimon. The JPMorgan boss embarrassed himself in an interview with CNBC. If the bank boss really believes that, his ongoing criticism is justified. But: Jamie Dimon is on the wrong track with his assumption.

Because: With Bitcoin, no single entity – not even the founder himself, who is actually called Satoshi – can take control and initiate arbitrary changes. Admittedly, the 21 million limit can be changed. Bitcoiner and “mother of the little hodlers”, Lina Seiche, explained to us why that would be pointless and why Bitcoin is so valuable.
