What sentences only real friends say?

Most of us have acquaintances more than enough, but real friends? They are rarer. Six sentences that you usually only hear from the latter.

Sorry, it sounds totally hackneyed, but: There is nothing like real friends – it's easy! They are there for you when your heart is broken, love you as you are, understand you when no one else does, and give you sooo many funny and beautiful moments. According to a study, a real friend is worth as much as 90,000 euros in annual salary for our satisfaction (you can find more information in our article "What is friendship?"). But how do we recognize real friends and can we distinguish them from friends? Among other things, that they say the following things to us – and of course also mean and act accordingly!

6 sentences by which you can recognize real friends

1. "I'm happy for you!"

Pity can be felt by just about anyone, but being genuinely happy for others usually requires deep benevolence and love. Honest joy is a very strong indication of real friendship.

2. "I'm here for you."

You can always rely on real friends: they keep you company and sit in silence next to you when you feel lonely but still don't feel like talking. They distract you and go partying with you when you need it and listen patiently when you need to talk about your soul. Friends are always there and don't ask for anything in return. Because you alone are worth it to them.

3. "I see it differently."

Of course, two different people can't always agree – not even if they're friends. But in a real friendship that's not a problem. Real friends trust you enough to contradict you and to be open and honest with you. Through your different perspectives you enrich yourself and get to know each other better and better.

4. "I'm glad you are there."

A real girlfriend or a real friend you important. They see you as an enrichment in their lives and celebrate that you exist. You give each other strength and energy and feel connected to each other – not obliged.

5. "You hurt me."

Not even in a true friendship there is always peace, joy, pancakes, sometimes we hurt each other. But instead of acting out of false vanity as if they were inviolable or turning away from you, real friends address injuries openly and give you the chance to make it up to you …

6. "I forgive you."

… and if you take this chance, real friends will forgive you. After all, they don't expect you to be perfect, they expect you to be you – even if that means you're making mistakes.
