While many unions, teachers or high school students, are gathering to demand the cancellation of the last exams of the BAC 2021, Jean-Michel Blanquer, Minister of Education, receives them today. hui in order to discuss the various arrangements envisaged.
Blockade against the 2021 baccalaureate
2021 punctuated by many changes and new announcements. And this year again the baccalaureate will be unlike any other. On the program, the Minister of Education, Jean Michel Blanquer, planned to replace 82% of the baccalaureate exams in favor of continuous assessment. Nevertheless, the government seemed to remain uncompromising regarding the holding of the French philosophy tests as well as the grand oral, scheduled for the month of June.
However, this arrangement is not appreciated by all, since several unions, teachers and high school students, had called for blockades in high schools from Monday to demand that the baccalaureate is fully validated via the continuous assessment.
Possible arrangements
Invited from Europe Evening, Monday on Europe 1, the Minister of Education explained that the conditions, under which the tests will take place, were not yet fixed: “on the modalities, we will still evolve so that it is the most favorable possible for the pupils ”. However Jean-Michel Blanquer affirms: “I remain open on the possible arrangements, but I still want that we do not go to full continuous control”.
The demonstrating trade unions were received yesterday and today to discuss the different possibilities available to them.
Several avenues have already been mentioned:
- First, notify the jury of topics and chapters not studied. During the grand oral, the student can bring a sheet signed by the teacher of the specialty, attesting to the program points that could not be seen in class, but also the preparation conditions for the examination.
- Second, prioritize the student’s best grade. This option consists of maintaining the face-to-face philosophy and French tests, but not keeping the grade obtained if and only if it is higher than that of the continuous assessment.
- Finally, the third hypothesis is to pass the coefficient planned for the grand oral from 10 to 5. This action would allow the students to reduce the pressure which animates them. “By doing this, we take into account the fact that the year was special and the preparation for the grand oral was heckled. Their mark in the bac is thus more focused on the specialties assessed in the continuous assessment, and on the philosophy test. It’s still better than simply canceling the grand oral ”, explained, Jean-Michel Blanquer, with the Parisian.
What about the 2021 patent?
Thursday, April 22, during a press conference, the Minister of National Education, Jean-Michel Blanquer, announced “the college certificate is maintained as such”. The tests will therefore take place face-to-face, on Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 June 2021.
Since the college reform, 3rd grade students have been working on the patent only on two of the three science subjects on which they work throughout the year. These two disciplines of the written science test in the general and professional series for the 2021 session have just been defined by the Ministry of National Education. The candidates will compose:
- for the general series: in physics-chemistry and in life and earth sciences
- for the professional series: in physics-chemistry and technology.
