what supporting documents to validate a TUC quarter?

Failing to really integrate long careers and therefore obtain an early departure, periods of collective utility work can now allow you to have quarters validated, in order to obtain the full rate more quickly. There was a lack of details on the supporting documents: the Minister of Labor published a bulletin on this subject.

I did a TUC contract for several months in a town hall in 1983 but I did not keep a written trace of this contract, testifies Polo, via the MoneyVox reader questions form. Even dismay for Thierry: I worked in 1985 in the TUC, I cannot find the pay slips and the employer no longer exists. How can I retrieve these pay slips?

Yves has a single written record: I only have an internship certificate established by the services of the Vaucluse prefecture which is the department where I did my TUC. Will this document be sufficient proof to assert my rights?

Priority ballots, contract and certificate accepted, but…

Since the announcement of the recognition of TUC as periods conferring retirement rights, and since the publication of the implementing decree at the end of August, questions have been pouring in on the supporting documents that could enable the periods in question to be validated. The Minister of Labor answers this question in a Official Bulletin dated October 23 and discreetly published on his site.

Verdict? To have your TUC periods validated, this is not automatic! you to claim this validationby sending supporting documents, in fact. Without any document, you will not be able to obtain your quarters.

Retirement: how to validate your TUC terms and other specific former internships

The requested documents are, as a priority, all pay slips. Failing that… Second possibility: the Minister of Labor demands the employment contract or the internship agreement accompanied by a complementary document. If you only have an employment contract or an internship agreement, you must add one of the following documents:

  • One of the pay slips among the last three corresponding to the period of work specified in the employment contract;
  • The balance of any account;
  • The end of contract certificate;
  • The end of internship certificate.

Third possibility, one certificate issued at the end of the internship or work period:

  • The end of internship certificate including the start and end dates of the contract;
  • The certificate of professional experience including the start and end dates of the contract;
  • A payment certificate issued by an employer such as the DDTE (Departmental Directorate of Labor and Employment) or the DDTEFP (Departmental Directorate of Labor, Employment and Vocational Training).

What if the certificate is issued today?

You don’t have any documents but the structure that employed you has agreed to issue a certificate? This could work: Documents issued after the execution of the contract or internship could also be considered valid provided that they were established by the competent authority within a time frame consistent with management constraints. The minister, however, insists on the need to have readable documents whose authenticity is not subject to doubt. And any document must show your name, the date of issue and the name of the organization concerned.

TUC but also young volunteer periods and other internships

Here, as detailed in the implementing decree at the end of summer, are the different training periods concerned:

  • Former collective utility work (TUC): from 1984 to 1990, these were subsidized contracts reserved at the time for young people aged 16 to 25.
  • Former Young Volunteer internships.
  • Internships carried out in companies as part of the Barre plan.
  • Introductory courses in professional life.
  • Local integration programs (PIL).

Quarters validated… and not deemed to have been contributed. The approach will only allow you to validate equivalent quarters. This will allow you to obtain the full rate more quickly when you exceed the legal retirement age. On the other hand, since these quarters are not deemed to be contributed, they do not count towards the insurance period taken into account for early departure for a long career.
